I found some great workouts on YouTube! I enjoy doing yoga, and I am attempting to do pilates (the pain and agony). I must stay fit and healthy, so a girl has to work it out! Keeping the abs tight and stretching are the focus of these two workouts below. Check them out!
It's been a minute since I have blogged! I want to take a new direction with this thing and focus on my natural hair styles and regimen, my everyday style as a diva, healthy lifestyle choices, words of encouragement, and my favorite things (i.e., baked goods, books, music). Let's see if I can keep up with this thing from now on! : )
I'll start out with my favorite song by Monica...Why I Love You So Much. They have really been playing this song on the radio, and I can't help but jam to it. I dedicate this song to my future boo thing LOL. Single and Fabulosa!
Hey lovely peeps! I volunteer for the March for Babies Walk every year. I would encourage you to join a walk in your city and donate whatever amount you can. Check out the March for Babies website for more information. Your gift will be greatly appreciated to support parents in ensuring their babies are healthy. : )
One of my favorite artists, PJ Morton, is coming to town next week. I will finally get a chance to see him in concert. His EP, Following My First Mind, comes out tomorrow. Be sure to check it out! Here his a clip of him performing with India Arie (another one of my favorite artists) on the song Interested.
I absolutely love wearing dresses! I bought this dress from Francesca's Collections, and it was on sale for $17.39 (originally $48.00). The earrings I bought to match are from Forever 21, and they were just $2.80. My shoes are from the Madden Girl brand. My hair is a simple twist out...the night before I re-twisted my hair with Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie and then put my twists on rollers. I woke up this morning and took out the rollers and loosened the twists. The rollers help to lengthen the curl. Fierceness at its finest!
Why am I just founding out about this musical trio? I heard them on Robert Glasper's latest album Black Radio. KING is an amazing group of women with a groovy, smooth sound. They have an EP out called The Story. I am definitely adding them to my collection and will be looking out for them in concert!
I absolutely love this infinity scarf and Lucky brand earrings from Macy's. My hair is in a twist out...I put my hair in big twists the night before from a previous twist out to maintain the curls. Fabulous!
